During the Internet boom of the mid-1990's, I had a vision of an Internet community where local people can come together to find anything in one place. Well, almost anything! :) I thought that the main success for local2local would be the "Service Providers Online!" A listing of providers in your area like the yellow pages BUT better! A user surfing the website in their city could check out many different service provider profiles with a simple click. The profiles contained detailed information about the providers to pinpoint the right person for your needs. This would eliminate repeated calls to potential providers asking the same questions again and again.

That was then. Local2local was originally launched in 1997, but it was short-lived! At that time, the vision was larger than my experience, resources, or networking skills required to breathe life into it. I had to everything manually and make all of the sales calls to drum up the kind of business needed to keep it afloat.

Fast forward to December 2004. As the founder of my own Internet media company, I have found the right mix of resources and contacts to bring my dream and passion for local2local back to life. The lessons that I have learned over the last seven years make local2local a place that meets the needs of the users.

I thank all of the users that believe in local2local and took the time to post listings and spread the word of a classified website designed where the user comes first. I look forward to offering you more great things as my vision for local2local grows and reaches more users. I invite you to be part of that vision.
